Our client is a US-based freight brokerage company specializing in dry van and beverage transportation services. They operate in a high-volume, fast-paced environment serving large-scale customers with consistent freight needs.

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Carrier Sales Representative to handle high-volume carrier sourcing and booking operations. This role involves utilizing the AI platform to book trucks, providing recovery support for problem loads, and managing high inbound call volumes. The ideal candidate has strong dry van experience, can negotiate effectively to maintain margins, and thrives in a metrics-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Carrier Sourcing & Booking

  • Utilize the Parade.ai board to book trucks efficiently

  • Source and secure carrier capacity for dry van freight (90% of volume)

  • Handle beverage mode freight (10% of volume)

  • Buy well and negotiate rates to maintain target margins (goal: 10% margins)

  • Support high-volume clients with consistent capacity needs

Recovery & Problem-Solving

  • Provide recovery support to cover problem loads

  • Step in quickly when loads need immediate attention or re-coverage

  • Handle last-minute changes and carrier failures

  • Find solutions to keep freight moving without delays

High-Volume Call Management

  • Manage high inbound call volumes from carriers

  • Handle calls efficiently while maintaining booking activity

  • Prioritize calls and manage hold times during peak periods

  • Maintain high talk time while still executing bookings

Performance & Metrics

  • Meet or exceed booking volume targets

  • Maintain target margin percentages (close to 10%)

  • Manage high call volumes and talk time metrics

  • Balance speed with quality in a fast-paced environment

Job requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in carrier sales or freight brokerage (preferred)

  • Strong dry van experience (beverage mode experience is a plus)

  • DAT experience required

  • Experience with Parade.ai or similar load board platforms (preferred)

  • Ability to negotiate effectively and "buy well" to protect margins

  • Comfortable managing high inbound call volumes

  • Strong multitasking skills to handle calls while booking loads

  • Ability to work quickly and make fast decisions under pressure

  • Metrics-driven mindset with focus on bookings, margins, and call metrics

  • Problem-solving skills for recovery situations

  • Organized and able to manage high volumes efficiently

Working conditions:

  • Working schedule: Saturday - Tuesday, 6:30 am EST - 5 pm EST

  • Work mode - hybrid/remote
