They are looking for a talented Structural Engineer to join their team and contribute to the structural integrity and success of their projects. Responsibilities:

  • Perform structural engineering design, analysis, and calculations for residential and mixed-use developments.

  • Prepare and review structural drawings, specifications, and calculations to ensure compliance with local building codes, safety standards, and engineering principles.

  • Collaborate closely with architects, designers, project managers, and construction teams to deliver cost-effective and structurally sound designs.

  • Conduct site visits, inspections, and assessments during various construction phases to ensure adherence to design specifications and structural safety.

  • Provide solutions for structural challenges and recommend modifications or repairs as necessary.

  • Work with permitting agencies to ensure timely approval of designs.

  • Review contractor submittals and shop drawings for structural systems and components.

  • Stay current with advancements in structural engineering, materials, and construction technologies.

Job requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master’s degree preferred).

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in structural engineering, preferably in residential or mixed-use developments.

  • Licensing: Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) or Structural Engineer (SE) in Oregon, or ability to obtain licensure within six months.

  • Proficiency in structural design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, ETABS, SAP2000, or similar tools).

  • Thorough understanding of local and national building codes, including IBC, ASCE 7, and ACI standards.

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.

  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects, and meeting tight deadlines.

  • Familiarity with sustainable design principles and construction practices is a plus.
