Job description

As an Operations Support Specialist, you will support our client in the areas of Capacity (asset providers operations), Account Management (customers), in addition to Accounting (billing and receivables). As an OSS, you will help us bridge our operations in the after-hours with combined responsibilities matching customer demands and supporting new opportunities. You will be trained by and work among a world-class group of logistics professionals in a fast-paced environment and deliver consistent results, assuring the smooth and reliable delivery of freight for our customers. This will be accomplished with a high level of communication in multiple forms backed by leading technology.

Responsibilities:

  • Tracking and tracking all active freight

  • Assist with billing including confirmation of pick-up/BOL/other documents, update all shipment records for visibility to others.

  • Communicate effectively with Capacity and Account Management.

  • Provide delivery instructions, and assure any needed information is communicated throughout the life of the shipment.

  • Book/sell any available freight as instructed and available, separate incentives possible.

  • Recover any loads that may fall-off during shipment.

  • Re-communicate and log any shipment details as they are discovered or become available.

Working conditions:

  • Working schedule: Monday - Friday 6 p.m. to 3 a.m. CST

  • Remote mode of work

  • Past experience in an enterprise transportation management system, McLeod preferred.
