Logistics Tracker / Booking Specialist

At this point, Zelh is looking for a Logistics Tracker / Booking Specialist for one of our clients.

This hybrid role combines Track and Trace responsibilities with Carrier sales functions. The ideal candidate will monitor freight movements, ensure timely updates, and resolve any transit issues, while also sourcing carriers, negotiating rates, and booking loads. Success in this role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and experience in both operational tracking and carrier relationship management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and track freight shipments from pickup to delivery, ensuring real-time status updates and issue resolution.

• Maintain regular communication with drivers and carriers to confirm transit progress and address delays or disruptions.

• Book loads with qualified carriers, negotiating rates and securing capacity for both contracted and spot freight.

• Build and maintain strong relationships with carrier partners to ensure reliable and cost-effective service.

• Use McLeod software to manage load tracking, documentation, and carrier assignment efficiently.

• Collaborate with internal operations, dispatch, and sales teams to align on shipment requirements and timelines.

• Ensure compliance with company procedures and customer service standards throughout the booking and tracking process.

• Provide timely updates and reporting on freight movements, exceptions, and carrier performance.

• 2+ years of experience in a truckload carrier sales role within the US-US market(required)

• Upper-Intermediate or higher level of English (required)

• Experience with track and trace responsibilities, including real-time shipment monitoring and issue resolution

• Proven negotiation and relationship-building skills in carrier sales and coordination

• Hands-on experience with McLeod TMS

• Ability to identify, recruit, and onboard new carriers to optimize transportation costs

• Strong organizational and multitasking skills to manage both administrative and sales-related tasks

• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for internal and external correspondence

• Working knowledge of logistics operations, transportation modes, and freight management is preferred
