At this point, Zelh is looking for a Inventory Management Specialist to join our client’s team.

Key Responsibilities

Weekly:

  1. Use the company’s MRP system to generate reports on upcoming expiring inventory and flag potential for shelf-life extensions.

  2. Analyze open purchase orders (POs) and recommend cancellations or quantity adjustments as needed.

  3. Review POs with large pallet volumes and suggest rescheduling based on storage capacity and usage forecasts.

  4. Coordinate with packaging vendors and internal teams to align deliveries with scheduled production.

Monthly:

  1. Convert customer demand forecasts into raw materials and packaging volume requirements using Bills of Materials (BOMs).

  2. Track customer-contracted purchase volumes and ensure compliance with agreements.

Analyze excess inventory reports and categorize items into concern tiers for follow-up action.

Ongoing:

  1. Evaluate inventory liabilities for canceled or changed sales orders and report financial impact.

  2. Coordinate destruction requests with the warehouse team and ensure company process is followed and complete.

  3. Conduct ad hoc inventory and PO analysis for specific items or materials as requested

  4. Maintain and update the Returned Goods Tracker to ensure accurate records of returned materials.

  5. Support Inventory Manager with analysis and projects as requested

Required Qualifications:

•Advanced Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data cleaning and analysis).

•Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.

•Inventory or material planning experience

Preferred Qualifications:

•Experience working with US-based teams

•Experience in MRP/ERP systems (e.g., DEACOM, SAP, Oracle).

•Familiarity with BOMs, demand planning, and inventory control processes in a manufacturing environment.

  • Work schedule: Mon-Fr 8 am - 5 pm EST
