About the Role:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Dispatch Coordinator to oversee the tracking and coordination of freight shipments. This role requires proactive communication, problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. As a Dispatch Coordinator, you will be responsible for tracking load statuses, updating systems, and ensuring seamless communication between carriers, customers, and brokers.
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor and check calls for all statuses throughout the life cycle of a load.
Manage dispatch inbox and promptly respond to issues or updates from carriers.
Build loads in our Transportation Management System (TMS) based on customer tenders and portal information.
Update our TMS and corresponding customer portals with accurate and timely information.
Schedule appointments for loads in a timely and efficient manner.
Handling 800-1000 loads per month.
Communicate shipment issues to brokers handling the respective customer accounts.
Execute tasks as directed by brokers and "problem solvers" to resolve shipping issues.
Working conditions:
Working schedule: Monday - Friday, 3:00 PM - 12:00 AM EST

Job requirements
Qualifications & Skills:
Prior experience in dispatch, logistics, or freight coordination preferred.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
Familiarity with Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and customer portals is a plus.
Problem-solving mindset with the ability to handle urgent situations effectively.
