Job description

This position requires a candidate with extensive Open Deck experience to effectively manage carrier operations. The role demands strong organizational skills for handling documentation, route planning, and load booking. Proficiency in TMS software is essential for dispatching information to drivers, while excellent communication skills are needed to collaborate with carriers, monitor shipments, and interact with brokers professionally. A successful candidate will ensure freight is loaded and secured correctly while maintaining efficiency and high-quality customer service.

Responsibilities:
● Prepare and organise carrier packets, ensuring all necessary documentation, permits, and insurance requirements are in place for smooth carrier operations
● Maintain accurate records of dispatching activities, including load details, driver information, and delivery confirmations
● Plan routes and book most cost-efficient loads for company drivers
● Utilise TMS software to dispatch info to drivers
● Collaborate with drivers and carriers to arrange the pickup and delivery of shipments, optimising routes for efficient delivery
● Monitor the progress of shipments and provide real-time updates to customers, ensuring timely deliveries and resolving any potential issues
● Interact with brokers professionally, addressing inquiries, and maintaining excellent customer service
● Verify freight is loaded and secured in the correct manner

  • Working schedule:
    Mon - Fri 8 am - 5 pm / 9 am - 6 pm EST (1 hour of unpaid lunch is entitled)

Job requirements

Required skills:
● 6 months+ of experience in logistics domain (US market) is a MUST
● Upper-Intermediate Level of English is a MUST
● Must be able to find freight for Hotshots
● Strong organisational and multitasking abilities to manage both administrative and sales-related responsibilities
● Excellent verbal and written communication skills
● Proficient in using computer systems and office software (e.g., MS Office, virtual communication tools)
● Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills for carrier sales and coordination
● Detail-oriented, organised, and have strong phone/email communication skills
● Self-motivated & able to work well as a team member
