One of our client is looking for a detail-oriented and tech-savvy Design Engineer to join his growing team. This role is responsible for developing engineering drawings, models, and technical documentation that support technology deployment projects. The role converts survey data, point-cloud scans, and project requirements into accurate engineering designs used for planning, fabrication, installation, and as-built documentation.

Key Responsibilities
Engineering Support: Provide critical support for deployment and installation activities by developing detailed drawings and deliverables.
Design Development: Create layout drawings, isometric views, sectional drawings, and construction prints using BIM design platforms.
Data Translation: Interpret survey data, site measurements, and field reports to generate accurate engineering layouts that represent real-world site conditions.
Dataset Management: Process and manage large point-cloud datasets, converting them into usable design references and infrastructure models.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with engineering and project management teams to validate design intent, resolve conflicts, and update documentation based on field changes.
Required Qualifications
Education: Associate degree or equivalent work experience in drafting, surveying, engineering technology, or construction documentation.
Technical Experience: Minimum of two (2) years of experience using AutoCAD or Building Information Modeling (BIM) platforms.
Project Management: Proven ability to manage multiple design tasks simultaneously while meeting strict project deadlines.
Soft Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work independently within a remote, cross-functional team.
Preferred Skills
Official AutoCAD certification.
Experience with surveying equipment and survey processing software.
Expertise in managing large point-cloud datasets across multiple platforms.
Familiarity with electrical systems or structured cable infrastructure.
A high degree of attention to detail and technical accuracy.
Work Requirements
Remote Setup: This is a fully remote position requiring the regular use of a computer workstation.
Schedule: flexible, but client’s working hours are Monday through Friday, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm CST
