Our client is a fast-growing US-based freight brokerage specializing in flatbed, oversize, and full truckload freight. They operate with speed, precision, and accountability, building strong relationships with both customers and carriers. The company is built on a culture of execution, grit, and delivering high-level customer experiences.

Position Overview:

The Carrier Sales Representative is responsible for securing capacity and covering customer freight from spot boards each morning. This role requires urgency, strong carrier relationships, and a deep understanding of flatbed freight.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cover flatbed freight quickly and efficiently from customer spot boards

  • Source carriers using: DAT, TruckStop, MyCarrierPackets, McLeod, Carrier411, Trucker Tools, Vet carriers to ensure compliance and reliability

  • Negotiate competitive rates while protecting margin

  • Maintain clear and proactive communication with carriers and the internal team

  • Keep all load information updated in the TMS

  • Build a strong, reliable carrier network over time

Job requirements

  • Strong knowledge of flatbed freight (securement, lanes, equipment types)

  • 1-3 years of experience in carrier sales or flatbed freight brokerage

  • Ability to move with urgency and make quick decisions

  • Confidence in negotiating with carriers

  • Organized and able to manage multiple loads simultaneously

  • Experience using carrier sourcing tools (DAT, TruckStop, Carrier411, etc.)

  • Proficiency with TMS platforms (McLeod experience preferred)

  • Team-first mindset with high accountability

  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment

Working conditions:

  • Working schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM CST

  • Work mode - hybrid/remote
