At this point, Zelh is looking for a Carrier Sales Coordinator for one of our clients.

About the Role:

As a Carrier Sales Coordinator, you will work alongside the members of our transactional freight team to offer, close, and manage committed freight shipments to our extensive network of carriers, as well as assist in the early development of new relationships focusing on improving eciency and managing transportation costs. Top priority is set on ensuring timely pick-up and nal delivery of each shipment under your operational control while cultivating and maintaining relationships with the carriers. Through steadfast negotiation, you will secure the best rates on a spot or transactional basis to maximize revenue per load. In an ever-changing industry, with stark competition, you strive to take a proactive approach in every opportunity or challenge presented.

What You’ll Do:

● Core activities include updating internal systems, sourcing and procuring carrier services to ensure timely pickup and delivery of committed freight, communicating all relevant shipment updates upstream and downstream to relevant parties

●  Flex in to act as a liaison between Customer Experience Representatives and the contracted carrier to ensure a flawless shipment lifecycle from shipment booking to delivery

●  Be a champion for companies’ initiatives within your team, and ensure compliance with companies’ standards and SOPs

●  Work with Strategic Sourcing for handing off newly established carriers for specific opportunities.

●  Engage in the negotiation of rates on a spot or transactional basis to maximize revenue with supervision.

●  Assist on escalations with carrier exceptions and shipment issues, and aid in timely resolutions.

●  Meet or exceed monthly gross profit and revenue goals

●  Continuously communicate companies’ differentiated value as a best-in-class service provider

●  Continue to develop a deep understanding of the nuances and challenges of the trucking industry

●  Other duties as assigned

Job requirements

What We’re Looking For:

● 1-2 years of relevant work experience, in the US logistics/brokerage industry related

● Two to a four-year degree from an accredited university with proven academic excellence and growth

● Excellent verbal and written communication skills

● Quick learner with a strong ability to multitask

● Acute attention to detail

● Accountable, direct, and condent in personality with a desire to strive to get better

● Superior problem-solving and analytical skills
