Job description

Zelh is a fast-growing, passionate outsourcing company.

Our mission is to be the most reliable logistics provider in the industry by offering and maintaining consistently high-quality services.

We achieve the mission by fostering long-term relationships with customers, employees, and vendors. Personal attention, timely communication, and respect for all people are the basis of our business philosophy!

Now we are searching for Business Development Representative — someone, who will be responsible for hunting and qualifying new opportunities by engaging high-level decision-makers through LinkedIn, email, and discovery calls.

Key Responsibilities

  • Targeted Prospecting: Execute high-activity outreach to our proven ICP, focusing on accounts where our value proposition is already a winning formula.

  • LinkedIn Mastery: Engage meaningfully with Director and VP-level logistics stakeholders. No "copy-paste" spam—you’ll use your freight IQ to lead with insights.

  • Qualifying Conversations: Move past the gatekeepers by demonstrating a deep understanding of back-office brokerage operations and the day-to-day pain points of a Shipper.

  • High-Volume Execution: Maintain a "scrappy" mindset. You’ll be expected to drive high activity levels across multiple channels to keep the pipeline full.

  • Credibility Building: Act as a subject matter expert on conference calls, ensuring prospects feel heard and understood from the first minute.

Who You Are

  • The Freight Experience: You have 2+ years of experience at a freight brokerage. You’ve managed carriers, and understand the 3PL lifecycle from quote to cash.

  • Operations Minded: You know what happens "under the hood." You understand detention, accessorials, OSD, and the nuances of shipper-broker contracts.

  • The Communicator: You are articulate, persuasive, and comfortable leading a conversation with a room full of decision-makers.

  • Scrappy & Driven: You don't wait for a manual. You’re a self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment and isn't afraid of high-activity targets.

Technical Skills & Experience

  • Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of the North American freight market.

  • Social Selling: Proven ability to leverage LinkedIn for lead generation and brand building.

  • Tech Stack: Familiarity with CRM tools (Salesforce/HubSpot) and sales engagement platforms.

  • Communication: Exceptional written and verbal skills (you know the difference between a "sales pitch" and a "logistics solution").
