At this point, Zelh is looking for an ArcGIS Drafter for a horizontal construction company.

They work hand-in-hand with customer’s crews, local contractors, and experienced union labor, as well as local residents, community leaders, and environmental agencies.

Responsibilities:

▪ Utilize jobsite visit data, GIS information, and drone technology to identify, record, and assess environmental conditions and potential concerns
▪ Create solutions and design unique plan for jobsite-specificenvironmental conditions that best benefit the public, the environment, the customer, and the company (i.e. alternative work/construction schedules)
▪ Identify and illustrate potential protected and endangered species on the jobsite – i.e. American Bald Eagle, endangered birds, fish, invertebrates, reptiles, and plants) which would affect construction activities
▪ Incorporate special environmental occurrences and solutions into construction plan and budget based off occurrence probabilities and impact to construction activities
▪ Create detailed access plans with ArcGIS that identify and clearly illustrate construction activities and all environmental concerns/conditions
▪ Present access plans to key stakeholders at the major Utility companies, the EPA, the Army Corp of Engineers, other environmental specialists, and/or the public, as needed

Working conditions:

  • Working schedule: Mon - Fri 15.00 pm – 00.00 am

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Geography, GIS, Geomatics, Civil Engineering, or related field.

  • Proven experience (working with GIS software and geospatial analysis tools.

  • Strong understanding of cartography, spatial analysis, and data visualization techniques.

  • Proficiency in programming languages (Python, SQL) for data manipulation and automation is desirable.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work both independently and in team environments.

  • Experience in the construction or infrastructure industry is a plus.
