    Job description

    We are looking for an experienced AH Dispatcher to join our operations team and support our overnight transportation activities. This role is primarily focused on OTR operations (80%), with occasional drayage coordination (20%). The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of managing drivers, customer communication, and load execution in a fast-paced environment.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Dispatch and manage OTR truck operations, ensuring on-time pickup and delivery.

    • Monitor shipments and proactively resolve service issues to keep freight moving.

    • Communicate with drivers regarding routes, appointments, delays, and operational updates.

    • Coordinate load assignments and optimize driver utilization.

    • Track driver Hours of Service (HOS) and ensure ELD compliance.

    • Work with customers, brokers, and carriers to provide shipment updates and resolve operational challenges.

    • Maintain accurate load information and documentation within the TMS.

    • Assist with drayage operations when needed, including port appointments and container movement coordination.

    • Escalate service failures and provide timely solutions to minimize disruptions.

    • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless day-to-day operations.

    • Work schedule: Monday – Friday 8:00 PM – 4:00 AM PST

    Job requirements

    1. 2+ years of dispatch experience in the trucking/logistics industry.

    2. Strong background in OTR dispatching.

    3. Drayage experience is a plus.

    4. Experience using a Transportation Management System (TMS); familiarity with PortPro, Trillium, or Geotab is highly preferred.

    5. Hands-on experience with ELD platforms such as Samsara, Motive, or similar systems.

    6. Experience working with customers and freight platforms such as Amazon, CH Robinson, Uber Freight, or similar.

    7. Understanding of Hours of Service (HOS) regulations and transportation compliance.

    8. Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

    9. Ability to multitask and make decisions in a fast-paced environment.

    10. Professional English communication skills, both written and verbal.
