Our client is a US-based 3PL company providing end-to-end freight brokerage and transportation solutions across North America and beyond. As they continue to scale, they are looking to diversify their freight portfolio beyond reefer shipments, expanding into new modes and markets.
We are seeking a proactive and commercially driven Account Management / Carrier Sales Representative who will play a key role in diversifying freight operations.
This position is focused on bringing in new types of freight and expanding into additional modes, including (but not limited to) flatbed, dry van, ocean, and international shipments. The ideal candidate is a hunter by nature, excited to explore new markets, build a book of business from scratch, and reduce seasonality by introducing new freight streams.
Key Responsibilities
Identify and develop new business opportunities beyond reefer freight, with a focus on diversification
Prospect and secure freight across multiple modes, including flatbed, dry van, ocean, cross-border& international logistics
Build and grow a diversified book of business with a strong mix of shipment types
Establish and maintain relationships with new and existing carriers across different equipment types
Drive outbound sales efforts to generate new freight opportunities and expand market reach
Negotiate rates and ensure profitable, efficient transportation solutions
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth execution across new shipment types
Monitor market trends and identify opportunities in underutilized or emerging freight segments
Maintain accurate activity tracking in CRM and consistently meet or exceed sales targets
Job requirements
Requirements
1–3 years of experience in freight brokerage, carrier sales, or logistics business development
Proven ability or strong interest in working with multiple freight modes (beyond reefer)
Strong sales and negotiation skills with a hunter mindset
Self-starter with the ability to identify and build new revenue streams
Comfortable with outbound prospecting and developing business from scratch
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
Results-driven with a high level of ownership and accountability
Experience with CRM systems and Microsoft Office
Working Conditions
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM CST
Work format: Remote / Hybrid
