Our client is a leading US-based technology-enabled transportation and logistics company providing comprehensive freight brokerage and supply chain management services across North America. They leverage proprietary technology platforms to deliver efficient, reliable transportation solutions for their customers.

Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Account Executive - Operations to manage the complete lifecycle of assigned shipments from quote through delivery. This role involves proactive booking, carrier coordination, problem-solving, and client communication to ensure seamless execution of freight operations. You will work cross-functionally to support multiple sales representatives and ensure all shipments are executed on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

Shipment Management

  • Quote, book, dispatch, manage, and track all assigned shipments using the company's proprietary TMS

  • Ensure all shipments are proactively booked and monitored for carrier on-time pickup and delivery

  • Schedule carrier pickup and delivery appointments according to client-specific needs and priorities

  • Monitor shipments throughout transit and provide proactive status updates

Problem-Solving & Issue Resolution

  • Confidently troubleshoot and resolve any issues such as missed pickups, late deliveries, and carrier delays

  • Take immediate action to find solutions and minimize disruption to customer operations

  • Handle escalations professionally and efficiently

Client & Internal Communication

  • Proactively communicate shipment updates and any potential issues to client sales teams

  • Communicate accessorials to internal client sales teams proactively to minimize financial impact to gross margin and revenue

  • Ensure accuracy and timeliness of billing, while notifying client sales teams promptly of any changes or adjustments

  • Maintain regular communication with carriers, customers, and internal stakeholders

Operations & Collaboration

  • Follow and maintain established operating procedures and SOPs

  • Collaborate with other team members daily to ensure coverage of loads is fulfilled

  • Support multiple sales representatives across various teams and managers

  • Have the ability to cross-functionally cover multiple roles for team members when they are out of the office

  • Become an expert in using the company's proprietary technology to fulfill client requests

Billing & Documentation

  • Ensure accurate and timely billing for all shipments

  • Notify sales teams promptly of any billing changes, adjustments, or accessorial charges

  • Maintain accurate documentation and records in the TMS

Job requirements

  • 1-3 years of experience in logistics coordination, freight operations, or freight brokerage

  • Strong problem-solving skills with ability to handle unexpected issues and find quick solutions

  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills

  • Proactive mindset with strong attention to detail

  • Ability to multitask and manage multiple shipments simultaneously

  • Experience with Transportation Management Systems (TMS)

  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize effectively

  • Customer service-oriented with professional communication style

  • Team player willing to collaborate and provide backup coverage for colleagues

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

Working conditions:

  • Working schedule: Monday - Friday, 8-5 PM CST
